Fima Zaltsman, PhD
Postdoctoral Scholar, Willsey Lab
Fima Zaltsman received his PhD from the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. There, he conducted research in the laboratory of Dr. Laura Kiessling with a focus on understanding the molecular mechanisms controlling hPSC fate decisions.
Currently, Dr. Zaltsman is interested in using hPSCs to help understand the pathobiology of neuropsychiatric disorders. He is investigating the protein interaction networks of genes implicated in disorders such as autism spectrum disorder using neural cells differentiated from hPSCs.
