Jean-Marc Grandjean, PhD
Assistant Professor, Department of Neurology
Dr. Grandjean earned his Diplôme d'Ingénieur in chemistry and chemical engineering at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Paris, Paris, France. He received his PhD in synthetic organic chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he studied photoredox catalytic cyclizations and hydrofunctionalizations of olefins in the lab of Dr. David Nicewicz. As a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Dr. Christopher Chang at UC Berkeley, Dr. Grandjean studied nickel- and colbalt-peroxo complexes for the catalytic oxidation of aromatic substrates.
Dr. Grandjean joined the IND in February 2016 to develop small molecules that will solve unmet medical needs in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.
