Tagan Griffin, PhD
Postdoctoral Fellow, Prusiner Lab
Tagan Griffin received his PhD in cell and molecular biology from the University of Pennsylvania in 2015. Under the supervision of Dr. John H. Wolfe, he developed an ex vivo gene therapy approach for the treatment of lysosomal storage disease using iPSC-derived neural stem cells.
Dr. Griffin, a postdoctoral scholar in the Prusiner laboratory, is interested in applying cell reprogramming and genome engineering techniques to study neurodegenerative diseases. His current efforts are focused on developing in vitro models for human prion diseases based on iPSC-derived neurons.
