Noah Johnson, PhD
Postdoctoral Scholar, Prusiner Lab
Noah Johnson received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering in 2014 at the University of Pittsburgh. Under the supervision of Dr. Yadong Wang, his graduate work involved the development and evaluation of growth factor therapies for regeneration of tissue after injury. His research sought to formulate treatments for diabetic skin ulcers, heart attack, and bone injuries.
Dr. Johnson joined the Prusiner laboratory as a postdoctoral scholar to delve into the field of brain injury. He is working to develop new models of traumatic brain injury (TBI) in order to better understand the tauopathies that result from TBI and to inform new therapeutic strategies.
